Boilers and heat exchangers, which serve important functions in electric power plants, chemical plants, and various other industrial facilities, are getting larger and operating at higher temperatures and pressures. For this reason, the steel pipe used for these devices needs to become more advanced, capable, and of higher quality. Anticipating these needs, JFE Steel has equipped its Chita Works, which is one of the worlds largest plants specializing in steel pipe production, with the latest manufacturing and inspection technology. Leveraging this advanced technology together with its wealth of experience, we produce high-quality boilers and heat exchangers, under a streamlined quality management system that begins with raw materials. Looking to the future, we are also pursuing R&D aimed at developing steel pipe for heat transfer that is capable of meeting the needs of next-generation applications.
