JFE Steel Galvanizing (Thailand) Begins Operating Continuous Galvanizing Line

Tokyo --- JFE Steel Corporation announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary JFE Steel Galvanizing (Thailand) has begun operating a continuous galvanizing line at the company’s production facility in the Hemaraj Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate of southeast Thailand’s Rayong Province. Commercial production will begin following customer approvals.

Thailand, the biggest automobile-producing country in Southeast Asia, hosts the production and exporting bases of numerous automakers. With production capacity and new plant construction both expected to increase, demand for high-grade automotive steel sheets is envisioned growing.

Strengthened by its new continuous galvanizing line in Thailand, JFE Steel will support the expansion plans of automakers by meeting their requests for local procurement and increasingly sophisticated products and services.
