| The
East Japan Works incorporates facilities in the Chiba District
and the Keihin District. It has continued to expand and update
its layout to meet the increasingly sophisticated and diverse
requirements of its customers. The sites cover approximately
15 million square meters and the quantity of crude steel produced
amounts to approximately 8 million tons per year. Main products
include a variety of steel sheets, stainless steel, plates and
pipes. Together with the Nishinomiya stainless steel manufacturing
plant, the East Japan Works is a leading example of how urban
steel mills can operate in harmony with the community and the
environment. |
