Mr. Mitsuru Anezaki, General Manager of the Energy Industry Steel Export Dept., made a speech on 15th May in Abu Dhabi, UAE, at the 4th Abu Dhabi-Japan Economic Council, which is a Government and Private entities' communication body to promote both countries' economic cooperation.
In the presence of approximately 140 participants, including Mr. Takagi, Japan's Senior Vice Minister of Economic, Trade and Industry, and Mr. Ali Majed Al Mansoori, Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, Mr. Anezaki explained the outline of joint venture, Al Gharbia Pipe Company, and introduced three partner companies: Senaat (Abu Dhabi Government Investment Entity), Marubeni-Itochu Steel and JFE Steel. He closed his speech by stressing why Japanese companies are coming to Abu Dhabi: namely, good support from both Governments, and a strong customer base for the oil & gas industries in Abu Dhabi.
