Internet Trading System for Wholesale Flower Markets

Abstract
JFE Engineering,
a leading company in electronic auction systems
for wholesale markets, has also developed
an electronic commerce (EC) system for trading
in horticultural products over the Internet,
and recently introduced this system in leading
wholesale flower markets in Japan. The system
is designed to be compatible with traditional
business practices in horticultural trading,
while also realizing rationalization effects.
The system demonstrated the expected results
in actual application.
