West Japan
Works of JFE Steel was founded as a result
of the merger of both Mizushima Works of Kawasaki
Steel and Fukuyama Works of NKK, which are
geographically proximate to each other. This
one of the largest steel works in the world
aims at achieving global competitiveness in
quality and quantity of products by establishing
optimum production systems. This paper describes
several features of the West Japan Works.
