Attention : Fake Emails Using the JFE Steel Name
It has come to our attention that fake emails purportedly in the name of JFE Steel Corporation and our president have been sent to lawyers in regions including the U.S., Europe and Asia.
These emails, which pretend to be soliciting professional services such as collection, negotiation, and/or legal proceedings, ask the recipient to reply with personal information. Their domains include addresses such as discuz.org, sys-w.com and fm.tc.
Please note that JFE Steel has absolutely no relationship with these emails. Their intent is malicious, and anyone who replies could be victimized by phishing, money fraud or other scams. Among other risks, the replier’s ID numbers, passwords and other valuable personal information could be stolen.
If you have inadvertently replied to such a mail, please take immediate steps to ensure the security of your computer systems and data.
