概要:
当社では循環型社会に対応するため，廃棄物を循環資源として捉え，製鉄所の製鉄原料として再利用するための技術開発を行ってきた。2000年4月のリサイクル法の完全施行にも対応し，容器包装プラスチック，使用済みペットボトル，使用済み家電製品などの再資源化工場を建設し，リサイクル事業を展開している。さらに，今後施行される建設廃棄物や使用済み自動車のリサイクルに対応する研究開発も進めている。本稿では，これらの循環社会を築くリサイクル技術について概説する。
Abstract:
NKK has developed a number of recycling technologies
to recycle wastes as raw materials in iron
and steel making processes. In response to
the enactment of a series of recycling laws
since 2000, NKK started new businesses of
recycling waste plastics, used home electrical
appliances, and waste PET bottles. Further,
R&D on recycling construction and demolition
debris and used motor vehicles is ongoing.
This paper outlines the new businesses and
technologies NKK has developed for recycling
resources.
