| 要旨 : 昭和58年7月，社内技術情報のオンライン検索システムが稼動した。このシステムは，それまでのバッチシステムをベースにして，オンラインシステムに発展させたもので，社内の技術レポート，出張報告，および社外からの入手資料を対象としている。本システムの特徴として，(1)全社ネットワークにのった端末配置，(2)豊富な検索キーによる多方面からの検案，(3)専用シソーラスの具備，(4)団体名，会議名などの表記の標準化があげられる。本システムの稼動により，全社の技術者が的確な情報を効率よく引き出せるようになった。 |
| Synopsis : An on-line technical information retrieval system in Kawasaki Steel Corporation started its service in July 1983. The system has been developed from the conventional batch system. Technical information consists of three types of documents; technical reports, business trip reports, and outside documents obtained. The system has the following characteristics. (1) All steel works and major offices are connected by the computer network, with sufficient number of computer terminals. (2) Information can be searched from various points of view using various index keys. (3) Kawasaki's own thesaurus is edited. (4) The names of organizations and meetings are standardized for retrieval convenience. The system enables engineers in the whole company to gain access to desired information efficiently. |
