Synopsis : After ten years technical research into the production of fixed dimension H-shapes by hot rolling, Kawasaki Steel Corporation has developed a revolutionary new product called "Super HISLEND-H." The most significant feature of this product is uniform outer dimensions in each dimensional series. A large number of sizes is available in the range of web depths from 400 to 900 mm and web thickness from 6 to 16 mm, permitting economical design. Other features include corner radii and improved dimensional accuracy. The new product thus solves many of the problems of conventional fixed inner dimension H-shapes. Super HISLEND-H was first produced commercially in November 1989 and has been well received by users. |
